NeuroCOV Consortium Meets in Amsterdam for its Fourth Progress Meeting
On 7–8 July 2026, the NeuroCOV consortium gathered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for its fourth Progress Meeting, kindly hosted by Amsterdam UMC. Over two days, researchers, clinicians and project managers came together to review scientific progress, coordinate the final implementation phase and define the priorities for the last year of the project.
Partners presented the latest developments across all work packages, covering clinical research, molecular and cellular studies, computational analyses, ethics, communication, dissemination and project management. The meeting provided an opportunity to review achievements, discuss remaining challenges and align the consortium on the activities leading to project completion.
A particular focus was placed on strengthening scientific collaboration across work packages and coordinating the consortium's publication strategy. Building on the Scientific Collaboration Groups established during the previous Progress Meeting, partners identified opportunities for joint publications, discussed future scientific priorities and reinforced interdisciplinary collaboration to maximise the quality, visibility and impact of NeuroCOV's scientific outputs.
The meeting also featured an interactive Exploitation Activity Planning Workshop, where partners reviewed the project's seven Key Exploitable Results (KERs), discussed their future exploitation pathways and agreed on the next steps towards the development of the NeuroCOV Exploitation and Sustainability Plan.
As NeuroCOV enters its final implementation phase, the consortium remains focused on completing its scientific objectives while ensuring that the project's results are effectively disseminated, exploited and translated into long-term impact for research and society.
